There are trees in Sequoia National Forest that have been standing for over two thousand years. Your family is about to stand next to one.
That moment — when we look up at something so enormous our brain runs out of scale — isn't just memorable. It's formative. For kids younger than 5, their brains develop faster than at any other stage, shaped by their experiences and environments. There is no better experience than this.
Rise & Wonder is a guided family weekend by Bewilder — the nature club for families new to nature. Two days of trail adventures, campfire stories, and hands-on nature exploration at AutoCamp Sequoia, designed for young kids and the parents who want to raise them to feel at home outside.
No gear. No guesswork. No experience required — just curiosity.
Arrival day
AutoCamp Sequoia
4 PM · Check-in to AutoCamp Sequoia
Settle in with snacks and drinks at AutoCamp's Clubhouse.
6 PM · Group dinner at River View Grill & Bar
Enjoy local brews, delicious burgers and fries.
Bewilder Guides lead kiddos in a nature-themed arts & crafts activity.
8 PM · Return to AutoCamp
Roast s'mores and stargaze around your fire pit.
Adventure day
General Sherman Tree
8 AM · Depart from AutoCamp and grab brekkie at Sequoia Coffee & Kitchen
9 AM · Hike General Sherman Tree Trail in Sequoia National Park
An hour-long drive from AutoCamp Sequoia.
General Sherman Tree Trail is a paved 0.5-mile walk through a sequoia grove that leads to the world’s largest tree!
10 AM · Visit Giant Forest Museum
10:30 AM · Walk along Big Trees Trail
An easy 1-mile paved loop around a meadow ringed by massive sequoias — the best flat, stroller-friendly trail in the park.
12:30 PM · Lunch at Crescent Meadow Picnic Area and Trailhead
2 PM · Return to AutoCamp or hike Moro Rock Trail (optional)
Trek up Moro Rock’s majestic granite dome by climbing a 350-step stairway, and watch spectacular vistas unfold before your eyes.
4 PM · Rest, relax, swim in the pool
6 PM · Group dinner at AutoCamp
Bewilder Guides lead kiddos in a group game and scavenger hunt.
8 PM · S'mores & stargazing
Enjoy your last night in Sequoia!

Will this family weekend happen rain or shine? +
Yes! Unless there's a natural disaster, we'll be there rain or shine.
What's parking like at AutoCamp? +
Each Airstream Suite is assigned one parking spot.
Are dogs allowed? +
Yep, AutoCamp Sequoia allows up to two dogs per unit for a $75 pet fee per stay, with amenities like bowls and treats available. Dogs must be kept on a 6-foot leash, cannot be left unattended.
